The 4th edition of India Boat & Marine Show (IBMS), which has emerged as the country’s premier boat and marine industry-related expo with its three editions, concluded at Bolgatty Palace Event Centre in Kochi on Sunday. Nearly 45 exhibitors displayed their products and services at the 3-day expo which has attracted more than 4000 business visitors.

The shows attractions included Solar shikara introduced by Kochi-based Matha Marines in association with Yesen Sustain; Mumbai-based SHM Shipcare’s Salmon 21 Y-380 6 M; Japan-made battery winch for fishing boats to help pull in the heavy nets with fish into the boat; a revolutionary new hybrid diesel-electric boat propulsion system by Dubai-based Elcome International; solar boats from Navalt Solar & Electric Boats, the company behind the country’s first zero-emission ferry Aditya 2017 solar boat and Manta5, a water-bicycle imported from Sweden which can be used both by pedalling or using electric power.

The event was supported by K-BIP, KMRL, KMB, Cochin Shipyard, Cochin Port Trust, IWAI, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and IMU. K-BIP has also put up a 20 stalls’ Industry Pavilion for Kerala-based SMEs from this sector.
