- Can be easily, digitally operated by driving in shoppers

Proving that old movie dialogue once again, that Kochi is no longer the old Kochi, the new parking facility called stack parking has come to Kochi at the state’s first street mall in Edappally. At the newly facilitated stack parking facility at Asset Corridor, the 67th project completed by the state’s leading builder, 12 cars can be parked in place of two, said Sunil Kumar V., Managing Director, Asset Homes. “Land prices in areas like Edappally are too prohibitive to allow conventional parking. And conventional multilevel parking called puzzle parking has got more bearings and moving parts which calls for higher maintainance and more prone to breakdowns. Stack parking, with fewer moving parts, is easy to maintain and less prone to breakdowns,” he said.
The facility, which can be operated manually, can also be operated by driving in shoppers digitally with ease. If there is space up, the cars parked in the ground slot will be moved up automatically once the passengers are out. All slots have numbers and by pushing the required slot’s button, cars on top levels can be moved to ground level.
Mr. Sunil Kumar said with 96-sq-ft selfie apartments and retail and office spaces ranging from 1000 sq ft, Asset Corridor is the first street mall in the state.
